On my 4th year with the Quantum F (moved from Quantum 2) and I normally don't need to repalce the shield, but accidentally dropped it on the ground and the shield was scratched pretty bad. I was thinking that for $50, I'd move to the new RX-Q, but that helmet is like $500 now, so decided to wait a couple more years and got the replacement shield instead.
Clean it after every ride with the eyeglasses cleaner and cloth from my optometrist and no problem at all.
