I wasn't sure about these boots looking at the pictures, I was worried I might look like the Terminator, that they would be rather "chunky", but I ordered anyway because I didn't want the cowboy look and I liked the full length zips for ease of putting them on and taking them off. When they arrived, I was very pleasantly surprised, they were far less aggressive looking and really very neat, with your jeans down over them there is nothing to attract attention to them if you wear them into restaurant etc. They are also comfortable to walk in..

The boots are very well made, excellent quality, comfortable and fairly lightweight for the protection they provide. On the bike the "compactness" of the toe and close fit to your feet makes shifting gear etc. very easy. Good grip on the soles, but not so much that they don't sit well on the pegs. I like the gear shift protector on the top of the boots, it keeps them looking nice with none of the marks the gear shift normally leaves on the leather. I like the fact it's on both boots, as I have one bike that is a right foot shift in addition to my left foot shift machines.

Finally, I was 100% right about the side zips, so much easier to take them on and off, which is really appreciated when you just want to nip to the store or something similar, where with my old boots I was often tempted to go without the protection to avoid wrestling them on and off for a short ride. The zips also help them air out after use, if left undone. Rarely for me, as I'm pretty critical about stuff, I've not found one thing I would want to change on these boots.
