The main reason I bought this was for the throttle stop screw and to be able to adjust the tune at a later day. My bike is in stock trim right now except for this kit and I also removed the riveted restrictor in the muffler. The shorter throttle is a must. I know Yamaha uses it to pass legal requirements, but with the longer throttle screw the bike is TERRIBLY slow. Another benefit I noticed is that the electric start seems to start the bike easier now . Before it would take multiple attempts to get it to fire. It could just be a coincidence, but I don't think so as the change was noticeable and this kit was all I changed.

Some people have asked if you need to also buy the tuner with this kit. The answer is no, this system is plug and play and will let you ride right away.
