Product Description

These receiver hitches have more towing capacity, use your standard 2" truck tow bar, and offer easier trailer hookup than a standard ball hitch. We use thick plate steel for the backbone of these hitches then powdercoat them black for an extremely durable finish. Installation is easy, the hitch uses existing holes for the attachment points so there is no drilling or modifying your machine. All mounting hardware is included. Fits the 2010-2013 Polaris Sportsman XP 550 and XP 850, 2011-2013 Sportsman Touring 550/850 and X2 550/850, and 2013 Scrambler 850. I had my doubts when I bought this hitch for my Polaris Sportsman, 550, 2012. When it came I thought there would be a lot of unbolting, and bolting, but this hitch attaches quickly and easily with 3 bolts needing only a 3/4 in ratchet and wrench. No Dis-assembly required of your machine. The hitch is solid and well constructed. It makes your standard 2 point hitch (2 bolt anchors to the bottom body/frame of your ATV into a rock solid 3 point hitch, anchoring it to the top plate on the back of your ATV and to the standard hitch that comes with the ATV. see: http://www.amazon.com/Polaris-2010-2012-Sportsman-550-850-Reciever/dp/B008I4BXXS

The tools required are a 3/4" ratchet, and 3/4" wrench. It comes with the 3 bolts you'll need, washers and spacers. The nuts, bolts, and spacers are all good quality stainless so their should be no rusting. The nuts are lock-nuts so they should not slip or loosen up. It took me about 5 minutes to install once I had everything together and was pleasantly surprised at the ease to which this was completed.

I do strongly suggest you make certain the exhaust pipe/manifold is cool before installing this hitch!
