First off, the look and finish of the mirror set is excellent. I loved the heavy aluminum and the great milling done on the black part holding the mirror.The install was rough, one of their bolts they gave me was shorter than the other, so I couldn't actually bolt them on like I should have. Trip to the local hardware store yielded NO bolts in metric size and thread pitch they need, cue pain in the ass. I ended up ordering bolts on-line that cost me a good bit but worked.
Second issue, they do NOT hold their position when you twist/adjust them to where they need to be so you can see what's behind you. Once on the freeway for the FIRST time (since there are NO "tightening nuts") they slowly swiveled due to oncoming air pressure to be out of whack, and you can't see what's behind you anymore. Cue second pain in the ass. Since there is no way to tighten the swivel function, I ended up getting them twisted in place then using JB Weld to permanently fix the joint on the little black piece in place.
Worked fantastic for about another month when the swivel that the black part holding the mirror to the yellow shaft starts loosening up and swiveling. Cue third pain in the ass, I have yet to JB Weld (epoxy) that swivel point so they can finally be 100% non-adjustable but functional.
My final feelings? Piece of crap quality control, piece of crap design for functionality, stellar looks. Overall I would buy again for another bike, but I would throw the worthless hardware away and just go straight for the JB Weld once adjusted to the correct angle and 'fix' them in place. For the $50 or so I paid for these, they look amazing. They lack the quality in the fit department of fit and finish though. Buyer beware.
