Saddlemen Profiler Seat - Black 8985FJ Review

Looks great and feels great. I will say this though.... I just got a new paint job on my bike. One of the pop rivets on the bottom side of the seat was more toward the outer edge of the seat. Unfortunately when i pulled the seat back off I noticed that it had dented and removed paint on my freshly painted fender. Great seat but i believe i had received a bad one.

I use a medium size on top of icon chest and back protection vest and its steel roomy. The document holder on front is attached with Velcro and its nice. Two side pockets with zippers and one chest pocket inside. I sawed a two way radio holder to keep my portable at hand when offroading.

AFX FX-100 Skull Helmet - X-Large/Blue Skull Review

I'll make this short and sweet...
You can not really get a helmet this nice for under $100, I got mine for ~65.
The dual visor is the best thing ever. It protects you from the harsh sun and looks cool. Also at night some people love high-beams and I push it down. The design is pretty cool, the only negative I can say is that the gloss is kinda cheap looking and the air-vents look cheap. The visor does like to fog up too if you aren't moving. So I keep the shield slightly cracked open sometimes.

So I got in an accident with this...
I was completely stopped, some cager hit me going 40 from behind. I flipped over his car and smashed my head on the pavement. I'm super lucky to be alive. I did get a concussion, but to only get that is a blessing as I really should have been seriously injured/dead. So the helmet did good, not perfect (if that's even possible).

Firstgear Mesh Tex Jacket - 2X-Large Tall/Blue Review

I just received this jacket, but I've not had a chance to road test it. The fit was very similar to my Jaunt Jacket (by Firstgear) in the shoulders and chest.

PROs -

Looks great
Bright Silver/Grey for visibility
Lightweight (~5 lbs)
Has a liner (including all inside pockets) to reduce a little airflow
10" Zipper for pants
Back armor can be replaced with Klim D3O Viper T5

CONS -

Seems to be some mild movement in the elbow armor where I could see it slipping away from the elbow if I went down
The sleeves are a little baggy in the bicep area, not a "make it or break it" issue

All said... I really enjoy Firstgear brand. I've got a pair of waterproof gloves and the Jaunt Jacket where I didn't get wet, riding throughout the winter/rain in Seattle. I'm hoping this one will hold up well in the dry season, and will update as necessary.
