Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0 Men's Textile On-Road Motorcycle Jacket - Black/Neon / Large Review

I purchased this jacket in neon green a couple of months ago. This is a nice jacket for the price. I'm 5'10" 200 lbs. and a slightly athletic build. I brought an XL and it fits perfect. I've only ridden this jacket since late fall and it has performed well. On cold mornings (mid 20 degree temps) with a sweater this jacket keeps me so warm I can't zip up the windproof liner because I would get too hot. All the padding lines up nice. I haven't crash tested it yet (knock on wood) but if I did it seems like it would hold up nice. My only knock on the jacket so far is the %100 waterproof claim. On a couple of occasions I have been caught in the rain and the jacket leaks water in the elbow area. Other than that the jacket has performed very well.

Works perfect. No complaints really. The fit isn't 100% perfect but it honestly isn't that bad. Definitely not bad enough to say that I wouldn't recommend it because I do. It adds a nice touch to customizing your bike. I'm happy with the product overall.

I have a 2008 SG with 27 K miles, the stock shocks kept leaking since new, Every year I had to pump them up every other month, finally they gave up. These Progressives make a huge difference, I got the heavy duty because I weigh 240 lb and ride 2 up quite often. Kept the stock length of 12 in, They absorb bumps quite well but on pot holes they still bottom out, I think this will happen no matter what shocks you put on. Overall is a smoother ride, like night and day. NO regrets so far.

I probably got a bad luck with the unit I received. I waited for recommended temperature to apply to the tank.
It sticks well but couple of days later, I noticed the lower part of the pad keeps peeling off from within itself (the fiber carbon got detached from the glue but the glue still adheres firmly to the tank.)
I did try to give it a hard push hoping it will stay but then the next day it's coming loose again.

I contacted Commonwealth Motorcycles and I got immediately response which is very nice. At first they want a picture of it but then minutes later, they inform me will ship me a replacement.

It's great that they trust me considering I spent over 22K for this bike and I have only one bike. I don't need two pads. If they pay for shipping, i will ship they defective back.

Update: I received the new replacement with no additional charge. Thanks to Commonwealth Motorcycles. No problems with the new pad so far.

Joe Rocket Ballistic 7.0 Womens Black Textile Motorcycle Pants Review

I bought both the Balistic 7.0 jacket and pants this year. They are warm and do a decent job of limiting windchill. The pants have an excellent waterproof liner that is removable. Unfortunately the outer pant and jacket is made out of a highly textured material that holds quite a bit of water, and soaks up mud. Very hard to keep clean and quite likely to be drip drying for a while after a wet ride. The liner in the pants does a great job of keeping your lower half dry. I am able to wear my work clothes under them instead of changing upon arrival most days. The liner in the matching jacket is not waterproof and I often find large damp spots on my shirts when I arrive at my destination and usually there is water that has soaked through the pant and is dripping down the waterproof liner so one has to be careful removing them to keep the clothes underneath that layer dry.

Also the position of the knee pads can be a little tricky. If you are under 5'5" and riding your own bike you may need to do some alteration. I'm 5'4" and the knee armor works in either pocket as a passenger, but shifting is painful when i ride my own so I had to sew a 3rd pocket on the inner liner for proper knee armor placement. Clearly Joe Rocket's models either ride behind their man friends or are the tall anorexic type from the cover of fashion magazines.
