The stock tires were downright dangerous on the fairly steep slope in my backyard, and mowing it was always an exercise in managing a controlled fall down the hill. Also, going up the hill I'd get stuck as the tires lost all traction at points, which is very nerve wracking as I have to get off the tractor to get it unstuck.

These tires solved all of that. I installed them, and first filled them to 10psi. I found this to be too high, and am now around 6 psi. The tires are taller than the stock turf tires, but when aired down to 6psi, not that much taller. Also, they add a little pneumatic suspension too. But the big thing is the traction, I can climb the hill like a billy goat and going down the hill is MUCH more controlled. There are a couple of spots where the tires kind of 'fall' into a bigger depression and temporarily lose full traction, but it's nothing like before. When that happened before the wheels would lock and I would just slide to the bottom, somewhat in control of my direction.

Clearance is no issue at all, there is plenty of room on the right siderear caster on the mowing deck. Probably a inch or more of space between the tire and the mower deck castor.

Anyway, I highly recommend these tires, at least for this purpose!
