Lindby Linbar Front Highway Bar - Chrome Plated 104-1 Review

I seldom write reviews but for this one I thought one was needed.

I bought the crash bars for my 1" lowered '08 Wide Glide. An inexperienced passenger sat up on me in a 5 mph turn and we went off the road into mud/loam (no curb to hit). Had wide bags on the back which held up but took scratches from the pavement as we went off the road. This crash bar bent at both bottom mounting points (one side toward the foot peg, the other side away)so it's now worthless. Ordering the Harley replacement for half this price.

Other notes:

On a wide glide (and most dynas I would expect) these are unusable as a place to put your feet because the foot surface is way way too high to be useful. I'm 5'10", 175 lbs with a 32 inseam so I'm not fat or overly long legged. The "foot rest" is about 2/3 of the way up the motor height so I'm bent almost in half trying to use these which completely defeats the purpose.

If they had held up "with scratches" through that mild a crash I would have not been happy with the ergonomics but basically okay with the product, even though I think it's over priced.

When they bend like that in a 5 mph drop I'm actively unhappy with the product.
