Warning: Installing a lowering kit or shorter shocks will decrease initial ground clearance. The motorcycle will be lower to the ground and care should be taken to avoid bottoming, especially over bumps or in turns. To maintain proper balanced geometry, we commend lowering the front and the rear of the motorcycle equally.

Kuryakyn 1554 Driver Backrest Review

I have always thought Kuryakyn products to be first class. This back rest is not up to their usual standards . Some of the instructions don't make sense. when installed, it leans a little too forward and the pad has no lean angle adjustment to it. The bolt that was supposed to attach the pad to the frame was impossible to get at with any wrench. The pad is very tiny and fits my back in a strange place. If the pad was bigger and one could adjust the angle of the pad, and the height adjustment of the pad worked, might be more user friendly.
